Find Your Sovereign Ground

Cultivating the capacities of self-governance after high-control systems.

Leaving is not the same as becoming free.

High-control systems do more than shape what people believe. They can interfere with the development of the normal human capacities we use to navigate life for ourselves—discernment, agency, self-trust, emotional honesty, healthy boundaries, and the ability to remain in meaningful contact with reality.

Leaving the system removes the external authority. It doesn't automatically restore what that authority displaced.

That is where reconstruction begins.

Sovereign Ground is a developmental research project exploring how people cultivate the capacities required to govern their own lives. Rather than replacing one set of answers with another, we're interested in something more fundamental:

How do you become increasingly capable of finding your own way?
