Participate in the Research
Sovereign Ground is not a finished system. It is an ongoing research project.
Much of what you see here has emerged through hundreds of conversations with people reconstructing their lives after high-control systems. Every thoughtful question, every lived experience, and every challenge to our assumptions helps improve the map.
There are now two ways to participate: join one of our small experimental Reconstruction Labs, or share something from your own experience below.
Reconstruction Lab:
When Knowing Isn't Enough
(Next Lab date to be announced soon)
Zoom · 4–6 participants · Free
Sometimes our understanding changes before our reactions do.
You may no longer believe the old rules, but still feel guilty when you break them. You may know intellectually that you're allowed to make your own decisions, yet still feel the need for permission or reassurance. You may understand that disagreement isn't dangerous while your body still reacts as though it is.
When Knowing Isn't Enough is a small, experimental Reconstruction Lab exploring that gap.
We'll compare experiences, look for patterns, and explore what happens when new understanding begins making contact with lived experience. Each participant will also develop one small, voluntary real-world experiment to try afterward.
This isn't therapy, a class, or a theological debate. You won't be told what to believe or what conclusions to reach. The purpose is to investigate together what helps intellectual change become lived capacity.
This Lab is also part of Sovereign Ground's ongoing research. What we learn will help us improve future Labs, frameworks, and tools.
